Per tutto il contest  Jordy Smith ha dimostrato di essere in una forma strepitosa, sulle onde di casa sua.

 

Anche se le condizioni dell'ultimo giorno di gara non sono state eccellenti, Jordy ha saputo interpretare le onde ed ha tirato fuori belle manovre.

 

Con questa vittoria  Jordy Smith prende una bella carica per tornare in corsa per il titolo 2011. Kelly Slater (non si è presentato in quanto ha preferito fare free-surf alle Fiji su una swell eccezionale), scivola al 6° posto nel Ranking provvisorio.
